With final semester just around the corner a lot of my classmates vanished off from the very surface of the earth. But few like me are still hanging around the planet, salivating all over the LCD while playing the Brawl. The next installment of popular Super Smash Bros. series for the Nintendo’s Wii console has so much potential that its publisher Nintendo has seemed to have captured most of that with this third installment. A super-addictive, crossover video-fighting game which is developed by HAL Laboratory allows up to four players to brawl, no matter where in the world they are.

You’ll find this installment very different from its predecessors, right from the very beginning. It has more items, more characters and more features. This action-packed fighting game features a ridiculous number of characters that have appeared on Nintendo platforms, from Mario to Link to Pikachu to Yoshi ... to Solid Snake! As they square off in famous locales drawn from the rich history of Nintendo, literally anything can happen - and usually does too. In a sprawling adventure mode called "The Subspace Emissary" that's a full game in and of itself. Players jump and brawl their way through enemy-packed side-scrolling levels, meeting up with other characters, watch short cinematic starring their favorite characters. For multiplayer games, players must pick characters, set rules and locations for where they want to play and then duke it out.

All of the characters have their own strengths and weaknesses, and learning how to protect yourself while taking advantage of your opponents' flaws goes a long way toward securing a victory. Throughout combat, various types of items will spawn on the battlefield for use by the first player to reach them. There can be a surprising amount of strategy involved. But all that said, Brawl is an incredibly well-balanced game in which even a brand-new player can come away the victor against a hardened veteran.

This game is easily one of the most impressive-looking games on the Nintendo Wii. All the characters look stunning in their designs and their every action. Equally impressive is the weapons the graphics, the multiplayer mode and the sound that brings out the best in the Nintendo Wii. With limitless customizing options, items and weapons that boggle the mind and a wealth of modes, this game has truly infinite replayability. What makes it more appealing is the ability to share game replays, screenshots, and custom levels with friends and tons of ways to customize your matches. The only thing that makes it less than perfect is its not-so-perfect online mode. This game is a must buy for any Wii owner and even if you don't own a Wii this might just be the perfect reason to go buy one and treat yourself to one of the greatest multiplayer gaming experiences of all time.
